I lost like a week
Tried to figure out the date today - in the context of checking food in the fridge - and decided it must be 19/20. Nope. Apparently the 24th. Not really sure what happened but apparently this week didn't really register.
We are still recovering from the aftermath of last week's jabs, one of M's arms reacted really badly and was bright red and very sore looking for a couple of days, eventually ending up with me ringing 111 to check this was ok and normal (apparently, yes). It didn't seem to overly bother her thankfully, but over a week on there's still a brownish circle around the injection site that looks like an old bruise. C was fine after hers all the way up until Tuesday (7 days post-) when she got a temperature. I text the nurse mother-in-law and she thought it was probably the Measles part of the MMR kicking in, and by Thursday she has come out in tiny pink spots all over her back and chest, so that's seeming the most likely explanation. At this point she's not had a temperature for 36 hours but she's still overly sad about everything and definitely off so that's been fun.

In other news, T was finding it hard to get enough work done and we needed more structure in our days so we have settled into a new pattern which seems to be working well for now. Once we are all up, dressed, breakfasted etc and have done morning prayer he disappears into the office and works until lunchtime. In the meantime the girls and I entertain ourselves (Zoom toddler group/Skype dance class/toys/games/playing in the garden/etc/etc). When C is napping I still try and do something with M, today she requested to bake something so we made Frozen cupcakes from a kit. And then once C's awake and T feels he's done enough work we've been going out for our daily walk.

It's been working well as a rhythm and means that everyone feels a bit more productive and the day is broken up into smaller pieces. This is not to say we're not feeling the insanity creeping in. M has definitely stepped up the misbehaviour this week. She's pushing boundaries all over the place, she definitely misses her friends but declines every suggestion that we ring them or somehow interact with them.

This week has also seen a lot more gardening, the brocolli and onions we planted have started to come up although it seems we have lost the original sunflowers so T bought a new packet and we are having another go. Updates to follow!
