26-28th June: The thrilling conclusionFriday it was 27 degrees so we were looking for a series of drivebys that we could grab without having to walk in the heat. T spotted a route that looked promising but when we got there it turned out to be a fenced off, no access road. The first one of the set was right on the road front though so I jumped out to go get it but no luck. We decided to just drive home a weird wibbly way via as many caches as we could be bothered/find. The first couple we tried were also no go's but we eventually managed to find 7. Each time just jumping out the car into the heat for as little time as possible before retreating back into the air-con. Total: 7. Running total: 90

Saturday we went to the zoo with my mum and dad to see them for the first time since lockdown. On the way there we pulled over and grabbed 2 cache and dashes, both of which we had tried before and not found. Turning a blue face yellow is always particularly satisfying. We completely failed to social distance with the girls (unsurprisingly) but we haven't seen anyone else in 3 months so I don't feel too bad. It rained pretty much the whole morning and we got very very wet but brightened up after lunch so we did a second lap to see which animals had braved coming out and dry off a bit. Then we went back to their house to charge the car and let the girls play in the garden for a bit (very exciting when all the parks are still closed and G&G have a trampoline in their garden!) before heading home. Total: 2. Running total: 92
Today was our last easy opportunity to complete the challenge as the next couple of days are quite busy. So we went back to the route we looked at on Friday because they were pretty much minimum distance apart and hadn't been found that long ago. The route in total is about 17 caches long but we only needed 8 so we collected the first 8 and then turned around and headed back to the car. Running total: 100!!! I slightly can't actually believe we did it. And with 2 days to spare as well. It's been a very satisfying, if kind of exhausting, project that has kept us entertained for a whole extra month of lockdown.
